valign=\"top\">\n<p>La&nbsp;<em>Tour de la Lanterne<\/em>&nbsp;(Torre de la Linterna) fue construida durante el siglo XV. Ubicada en la entrada del puerto de la ciudad de La Rochelle, en la costa atl\u00e1ntica francesa, funcion\u00f3 como faro y torre de vigilancia. Durante tres siglos (XVII, XVIII y XIX) fue una prisi\u00f3n, donde encarcelaron a marineros, militares y presos pol\u00edticos. En 1879 fue convertida en monumento hist\u00f3rico. En los muros de piedra de la torre permanecen las escrituras de los prisioneros: textos y dibujos grabados en las superficies. La&nbsp;<em>Tour de la Lanterne<\/em>&nbsp;subsiste y subyace a la ciudad actual. Una ciudad que fue puerto esclavista en el s XVI, puerto comercial y contrabandista, hoy es un monumento hist\u00f3rico.<\/p>\n<p>Durante 2017 trabajamos con Julia Suero, artista sonora que vive en La Rochelle, en la investigaci\u00f3n de campo para realizar una instalaci\u00f3n audiovisual en el quinto piso de la torre. Centramos nuestra mirada y nuestra escucha en las escrituras y dibujos.<\/p>\n<p>El resultado es una instalaci\u00f3n audiovisual que integra una serie de proyecciones anal\u00f3gicas construidas artesanalmente con luces y lupas, proyecciones digitales de video y un sonido inmersivo de varios canales. La muestra inaugur\u00f3 en marzo de 2018.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab&nbsp;<em>Utilizo en esta obra el dibujo como medio de conocimiento y transformaci\u00f3n. Copio esas escrituras para acercarme a ellas, cada una con un estilo diferente, las dibujo sobre el papel y la pantalla, sobre el paisaje y las paredes de piedra. Las inscripciones de los prisioneros incluyen sus nombres, las fechas en las que estuvieron encerrados, dibujos de barcos y herramientas, personajes y textos indescifrables, en varias lenguas (franc\u00e9s, ingl\u00e9s, espa\u00f1ol, holand\u00e9s). Aqu\u00ed reflexion\u00f3 sobre su juventud que pasa.)<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab&nbsp;<em>Las linternas m\u00e1gicas (dispositivos de proyecci\u00f3n pre-cine) con sus lupas en movimiento de rotaci\u00f3n infinito, generan un m\u00ednimo instante de imagen n\u00edtida. Solo durante un segundo podemos percibir la imagen en foco. Pareciera que las paredes (muros fr\u00edos, h\u00famedos y oscuros) transpiran esas im\u00e1genes.&nbsp;<\/em>&nbsp;<em>Las proyecciones de video son grandes manos que dibujan, reescriben, amplifican, de manera ef\u00edmera, los textos sobre las paredes.<\/em>&nbsp;\u00bb(Julia Masvernat)<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00ab&nbsp;En cuanto a la creaci\u00f3n de sonido, el material ac\u00fastico es inicialmente grabado a partir de lo que la misma torre propone en materia sonora, tanto en su espacio interior como exterior: pasos sobre las escaleras, puertas de madera, vientos, oleaje del mar. A \u00e9stos se le suman otros&nbsp;sonidos electroac\u00fasticos como el gesto de tallar la piedra. A partir de este material, compongo un paisaje sonoro on\u00edrico e inmersivo al cual se le agregan voces femeninas que interpretan algunos textos encontrados en las escrituras: principalmente nombres de los prisioneros y fechas. El resultado es un universo sonoro mixto que se va enriqueciendo con capas de or\u00edgenes diversos y se va transformando progresivamente. Una relectura po\u00e9tica sonora del edificio y su historia.<\/em><br><em>El paisaje sonoro es emitido en un sistema est\u00e9reo al que se le suman cuatro peque\u00f1os parlantes independientes que emiten sonidos ac\u00fasticos.
